Formentera shows off its sports events calendar for 2026.

At the International Tourism Fair in Madrid (FITUR), the Formentera Island Council showed off their sports event calendar until 2026. This is a new plan that makes sports one of the main parts of the island’s tourism concept.

It’s evident that this new initiative is meant to lower seasonality, attract a wider range of visitors, and encourage real experiences that are connected to Formentera’s scenery and natural surroundings.

Location: Sant Francesc Municipal Stadium

A long-distance race that takes runners past some of Formentera’s most famous sights. It’s great for anyone who love trail running and endurance challenges.
