Access and Parking Regulations at Ses Salines Natural Park – 2025 Season Ongoing
Since Saturday, May 10, and continuing through Tuesday, October 15, 2025, the Consell de Formentera is once again enforcing seasonal access and parking regulations in the Parc Natural de ses Salines. As in previous years, this measure aims to ensure safe, sustainable visits to one of the island’s most protected and popular natural areas during the peak tourist season.
The system helps reduce traffic congestion, protect local ecosystems, and guarantee access for emergency services, while offering a better overall experience for both residents and visitors.
Current Access Schedule (as of May 13, 2025)
From May 10 to May 31, access control is in place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
Please note that es Cavall d’en Borràs 1 may remain accessible outside these hours unless weather conditions or high visitor numbers require temporary restrictions.
The schedule will evolve throughout the season as follows:
Upcoming Regulation Timetable
- June 1 – July 15: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- July 16 – August 31: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (extended to 9:00 p.m. at es Cavall d’en Borràs 1 and 2)
- September 1 – 15: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- September 16 – 30: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (with adjustments at es Cavall d’en Borràs 1 as needed)
- October 1 – 15: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (some exceptions at es Cavall d’en Borràs 1 and Llevant 3)

The total maximum parking capacity in the park is:

- Try to visit early in the day, especially during July and August, to avoid waiting and secure parking.
- Sustainable transport like bicycles or public shuttles is highly recommended.
- Respect park rules and natural areas—stay on marked paths and avoid protected dunes or vegetation.
- Bring water, sun protection, and dispose of any waste responsibly.
