Formentera20 returns: the island becomes a hub of digital talent once again this October
From October 2 to 4, 2025, Formentera will once again play host to one of the most inspiring events in the digital world: Formentera20. Now in its 12th edition, this unique gathering brings together creativity, innovation, and top-tier talent in a setting that’s anything but ordinary. Registrations are already open via the official website: www.formentera20.com.
At the heart of the project is Rosa Castells, a journalist and communicator who launched the event over a decade ago. Her goal? To create a space where ideas flow, connections happen naturally, and the island’s beauty fuels inspiration. And it’s worked—Formentera20 has firmly positioned the island on the map of must-attend digital events.
This year’s edition was presented by Castells alongside Artal Mayans, Formentera’s Minister of Tourism, New Technologies, Commerce, and Housing. Mayans emphasized the event’s role in drawing visitors outside the usual summer rush—something that benefits both the local economy and the overall island experience.
“Formentera20 brings together people who are shaping the future of communication and digital innovation. It’s about blending talent, vision, and the unique vibe of the island,” he said.
A standout lineup of digital minds
What really sets Formentera20 apart is its speakers. Every year, it brings together an impressive group of professionals who are doing incredible things in their fields—from digital marketing and media to sustainability and storytelling. This year’s lineup is no exception:
- Marta Prieto-Moreno, Chief Digital Officer at IPG Mediabrands Spain, with deep experience in media strategy, digital transformation, and data-driven communication.
- Óscar Ordoñez, Head of Marketing & Experience at CaixaBank, a champion of user-focused innovation in the financial world.
- Lorena Poza, head of Communication, Marketing and Sustainability at Bizum, known for her integrated approach to branding and corporate responsibility.
- Anna Roca, General Director at After and Vice President of the APG, known for her bold and strategic take on communication.
- Juan Baixeras, leading Digital Channels at Mediaset, with years of experience in digital content and audience growth.
- Santiago Miguélez, Marketing Director at Estrella Galicia, behind some of the most creative and authentic brand campaigns in the beverage world.
- Guilli Cascante, CEO at Goroka, an award-winning audiovisual producer with a gift for compelling narratives and visual storytelling.
More than just another professional event
If you’ve ever felt drained by big, impersonal conferences, Formentera20 is a breath of fresh air. It’s all about genuine conversations, idea sharing, and connecting with people who truly inspire—all set against the stunning backdrop of Formentera.
Across three days, there’ll be talks, panels, and group activities hosted in different corners of the island. The vibe is relaxed, open, and collaborative. And with limited spots available, the format encourages real interaction—not just between attendees, but also with the speakers themselves.
The event’s motto says it all: #DisconnectToConnect.
Keep an eye on the event’s social media for updates—new names, program highlights, and a few surprises. (Last year, attendees were treated to an unexpected live performance by international artist Beret—just for them.)
If you’re looking to spark ideas, make meaningful connections, and enjoy a few unforgettable days on one of the most beautiful islands in the Med, Formentera20 is calling.
